December 01, 2022
Greetings Carvers Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and ate to much Turkey and dressing and didn’t put on too much weight. If you did or you didn’t we have another chance to pack it on this coming week, December 6, 2022 at 5:30 pm in the church fellowship hall for our annual Christmas Holiday social. As always Bill and Judy Dominick will do a great job procuring the Chicken and Drinks and the rest of us will bring the side dishes and dessert. I am sure more people are coming than signed up, so if you haven’t signed up yet, please let me know. The Metrolina Christian Academy choir is ready to entertain us, and the raffle has been replaced by a gift from the club. Remember , bring some of your carvings to display and don’t forget to be generous when donating to Loaves and Fishes. Bill Robinson organizes this every year.
I was at the Parks and Recreation facility near my home and saw a club advertisement on the bulletin board. I checked them out and have been a member ever since.
A friend in the neighborhood invited me to a meeting. Now Tuesdays don't quite feel right if I miss a meeting.
I attended a Showcase where someone at the membership table encouraged me to join. A member since 2015
After attending the showcase several times and nearing retirement, I joined the club. My first show yielded several ribbons!
A former member invited me 20+ years ago, and I joined. Life got in the way and carving was put aside, but my interest has sparked again recently.
